its features and how it works may be found here

I’ve never used Discord before. How do I get started?

The first thing to do is join our Discord. You can do that by logging into CrewOps, clicking your name in the top right, and choosing 'Discord' at the bottom.

If you have issues, submit a Help Ticket.

After having your online ID activated, scroll though the Groups and Channels you encounter to get a feel for what’s being posted in each one. And then, post away and allow your fellow Pilots to get to know you…

How do I interact with others in Discord?

How to use Discord is well beyond our ability to describe here - however, there are any number of online resources you can access to help you ‘fill in the blanks’, so to speak. In your browser, enter the phrase ‘how to use Discord’ or something similar – and select any of the many items that appear to learn more.

What does the color of someone’s company ID mean?

We use the color of a Pilot’s ID in Discord to acknowledge a variety of roles | designations within the company.

Receiving Pilot Roles in Discord

If you’re a Student or Private Pilot in real life and would like to have your company ID’s appearance reflect that designation in Discord like below

here’s what you need to do:

Student Pilot:

Private Pilot:

  • DM a member of the Business Office on Discord
  • (and make sure to include your name and WAT Pilot ID); and,

  • Provide a copy of your Student License (block out your mailing address information) – or – for those outside the US, something of an equivalent nature to validate your status. The name on your license must be visible and must match the name you have on-file with the virtual airline.

Your license must be valid and not expired.
  • DM a member of the Business Office on Discord (and make sure to include your name and WAT Pilot ID); and,

  • Provide a copy of your Pilot License (block out your mailing address information) to show you hold, at a minimum, a Private Pilot endorsement. The name on your license must be visible and must match the name you have on-file with the virtual airline.

Your license must be valid and not expired.

If you’d rather not submit a copy of your license for either designation, that's your decision. However, you can’t obtain the roles in Discord without verifying you're either a Student or Licensed Pilot.
